Summerland

Situated on the unceded ancestral territory of the Syilx Nation, Summerland is nestled between rambling orchards and lush vineyards. A picturesque town on the shores of Okanagan Lake this narrow swath of land was formerly part of the Syilx’s traditional transportation trail system. Now the land is home to the Kettle Valley Steam Railway, the wineries of Bottle Neck Drive, and the extinct volcano Giant’s Head Mountain.

Summerland hosts a wide range of sporting, cultural events and festivals throughout the year. Route 97 splits the pristine beaches of the town from the quaint village centre which hosts an array of artisan shops, boutique stores, restaurants, and BeadTrails Headquarters and ArtVines Collective.
