The First-ever ‘BeadTrails Bazaar’ – an Exciting Addition to ‘Summerland Light Up’
The holiday season is here which means it’s time to ‘Light Up the Vines’ and ‘Light Up Summerland’ and ‘Sip and Shop’ our way through the local tastes and arts of the Okanagan.
‘Summerland Light Up’ is undeniably the premier holiday light up in the Valley! Attracting over 10,000 travelers to town center means local vineyards, cideries, and businesses are working together to create a truly magical experience.
The vineyard light-up kicks off the local Summerland events on November 23rd with The ‘Summerland Light Up’ festivities happening on Friday, November 29th from 4:00 -9:00 pm. Things have changed a bit this year with the addition of the Bottleneck Drive “Hospitality Zone” happening in the heart of town and promising to be the most fun you can have with your beads on. Partake in our make and take and create your own bracelet and Christmas ornaments as you get into the spirit of the season.
The ‘Hospitality Zone’ is selling local beverages and encouraging folks to linger and shop for savoury treats and unique gifts in the afterglow of the light up. BeadTrails and ArtVines Creative Spaces is getting in the zone with a bizarre twist of their own – the first “BeadTrails Bazaar’.
Creating a unique shopping experience, similar to markets found in Morocco or New Orleans, we’re slowing things down and infusing the season with local goodness. The Bazaar brings together diverse BeadTrails businesses from across the Valley to make your shopping selections super special.
This year we are thrilled to welcome ‘Dirty Laundry’, ‘Peaches Lingerie’, ‘Okanagan Valley Vagabonds’, the ‘One-Eyed Budgie’, ‘Happy Days Retro Vintage’, ‘Summerland Art Club’, ‘Southern Ridge Trading Company’, Scarves by Heather and will be announcing additional vendors over the next few days.
BeadTrails is putting on a show for Summerland’s ‘Sip and Shop’ event. Joining us this year is ‘Saxon Estate Winery’ and ‘Dubh Glass Distillery’ both sharing succulent sips with thirsty shoppers. Sip and shop to the seductive sounds of “Phil Patenaude of Summerland Sounds’, scoop up a limited-edition Gift with Purchase.
