100 Mile House

Before the Gold Rush and Fur Trading days the trails between 100 Mile House and Lillooet were the ancestral trails and trade route of the Interior and Coastal Salish People. A trip through this area is a history lesson on the evolution of British Columbia.

Between 1862 and 1870, over 100,000 people traveled the Cariboo Wagon Road from Lillooet, making their way north into Cariboo country where 100 Mile House was a favoured roadhouse stop for weary travellers. Situated on high mountain passes, the area boasts an extensive trail system and fertile lands and is well known for outdoor activities including rodeos, hiking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and ATV riding.
